Our herd of over 200 Holstein-Friesian milking cows are bred from some of the finest stock in Australia and provide the best tasting, freshest milk available.
Our herd is milked twice daily, and guests are welcome to view the afternoon milking between the hours of 2.30pm – 3.30pm.
Please note our café is Open 5 Days a week: Wednesday - Sunday (10am to 4pm)
The bulk of milk produced by Gallo’s, is processed at the Dairy Farmers factory in Malanda. The rest is processed in our own cheese factory on site to produce our famous, award-winning cheese.
Milking demonstrations are a real treat to watch!! A great experience for families and a great way for kids to be entertained while also being educated.
The Café Restaurant is fully air-conditioned offering a wholesome menu from 10:00am. Join us for a late breakfast, lunch or morning and afternoon tea. Bookings highly recommended.
The Cheese Factory is open to visitors. See where we the cheese is made and watch the DVD presenting the factory in operation as well as footage of the dairy farm working.
